It's been a while.....

Yes it has, the title says it all!! When I started this blog I thought I would have tons of time to write about things, but I have been soooo busy with summer, kids out of school, etc. Today was actually a relax day today, and while relaxing I stop over to http://craftopotamus.blogspot.com/ this blog is amazing!!! Mr. Mike

Do you ever have moments where the smallest things have you remembering things from your past? Today as I was fixing my coffee I happened to look at our weather electronic thingy we have (yes everything I don't know the correct name for is a thingy) and see, yet another hot day. This for me though doesn.t have me thinking oh gosh turn up the a/c, or even run for the pool, my first thought brought me back to the summer of 1997 and how I met my guy or as the kids on our street call him Mr. Mike. When we met it was just as hot as today except in August. I was hanging out at a mutual friends house and he happened to drive out to the middle of nowhere to hang out too. That evening a group of us went to the local bowling alley to bowl and let's just say for the record that neither of us were or are great at bowling, there will be no bowling leauges begging us to be on their team though I am sure Mr. Mike would disagree! Mr. Mike was 20 then I was 17, he has told me many times he fell for me when he met me. It took me a couple days longer, I mean he was breathtaking blue eyes, tan, built (he did construction)but in the end he captured my heart, and sent it into overdrive, he still does.... So what are the little moments in life that send your thoughts racing back to that time, year, or place

The Beginning........

Hello everyone! I am so excited as this is my first post to my blog!! Let me first start off by telling you a little about myself, I am 30 yrs. old, I have an awesome soon to be husband, and with my guy we have 2 amazing boys, 9&10 we call our brats. Let's see is there anything I'm leaving out?? Oh yeah almost forgot..... it's about to get crazy(breathe here) okay, also we have 4 dogs (1rott/shepard, 3 mini dachshunds), 6 crazy chickens, a bearded dragon, and 6 fish in our pond! Whew that was alot to get out. We live in North Carolina, and right now the temp. has been hitting in the high 90's everyday, yes it's HOT! I dabble in all types of things, love to cook, but my favorite thing is to thrift. I love it, I think it's the hunt of finding something that you just have to have, and like they say: one man's junk is another man's treasure or maybe that was woman......hmmmm??
